M.A. in Counseling with concentrations in Clinical Mental Health, School Counseling, and Rehabilitation Counseling
I am the proud owner of Messy Thoughts Counseling, a space dedicated to helping others navigate their emotional landscapes. I completed my Master’s Degree at Wayne State University, and I have been a limited licensed counselor since 2021. I have a background as a school counselor, having worked in both K-12 public, private, and virtual educational settings.
I specialize in working with children and teens who are struggling with various emotional regulation issues and are striving to improve their overall academic performance. With my background as a previous school counselor and my extensive experience in this field, I have developed a deep understanding that academics and mental well-being are intricately connected and go hand in hand. When children aren’t feeling their very best—emotionally or mentally—how can we honestly expect them to perform their absolute best in school?
Another specialty that I focus on passionately is helping individuals who have faced trauma through the transformative use of Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). ART can be used to treat a variety of mental health conditions with the use of erasing and replacing the negative emotions and images with positive ones.
I'm a proud mother of two wonderfully energetic and imaginative kids, and I absolutely understand that caring for children can sometimes be quite challenging and overwhelming. I'm here to provide compassionate support for both you and your amazing kids during these times. Remember, therapy is not just a destination; it's a transformative journey filled with opportunities for growth and healing, and I'd be truly honored to help you navigate your unique healing path.
